This means power and triumph for you and your pool if you choose to be a responsible pool owner.
Proper pool maintenance can be categorized into three steps. These three steps is bound to keep those pestering algae within kilometers off your pool.
1. TESTING 1,2,3 – Testing your water on a daily basis is key and a pioneer step to keep your pool from algae. Test your water everyday and if it needs tweaking, then do so. It\’s as simple as 1, 2, 3.
2. HAPPY CHEMICALS, HAPPY POOL – Be sure to keep your chemicals into their right place. Do not under estimate your water test strips\’ reading. They pave the way for you to rightly maintain your pool. If you find anything too low or too high, ACT UPON IT IMMEDIATELY.
3. CLEANING DOES MAGIC – Cleaning your pool, pool accessories and equipment are crucial to keep algae away. You must clean your pool on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This includes opening your filter up to 15 hours daily and then back washing it every 3 days.
ALGAECIDE
Now, when the situation gets a little bit worse, there is the ineluctable need to use algaecide. Algaecide can come either in liquid or powder form. Use a bottle\’s worth on your water and let it circulate for six hours. If the algae still persists, PROMPTLY repeat the process.
SOUND DOES THE TRICK
People have come up with interesting and creative ways to get rid of things in this world. Such is ultrasonic sound to obviate algae. It seems that the kind and the loudness of the sound can break away walls and walls of algal blooms in and on your pool. Do not get too excited and get your speakers at the bed of your pool ok? There are specialized speakers for this.
IT\’S DOOM TIME
So the situation is definitely gotten out of hand. What do you do? Easy. Drain all the water from your pool and then acid wash it. Yes, ACID WASH it. Muriatic acid is a powerful acid that can kill just about any living thing here in the world. This is the \”NO MERCY\” time. Put out the big guns.
