Five Tips to Feel Secure on Girls’ Night Out
Girls just want to have fun! However, what if bad people are waiting you on your girls’ night out? How are you going to deal with this? Well, do not panic and be paranoid just yet because this article will help girls out there to be equipped and ready so that they feel secure during girls’ night out which is supposed to be a fun event.
Girls just like any guys have the tendency to be “hardworking” in their own jobs or career and sometimes they just want to spend a Friday night with their girlfriends to have few drinks, listen to good music, dance a bit and have fun overall. However, since there are also people out in the streets who find joy in putting others’ life in danger and this is definitely a serious matter that girls should be careful about. Here are some tips to ensure that your girls’ night out will be a fun and most importantly a SAFE one:
1. Do not drink something offered by a stranger – yes, it may be flattering to have a guy offering you a free drink but come on, if you do not know the person do not just drink it. You do not know if the person puts some dangerous substance in your drinks that might cause you harm. So just settle for your own booze or tequila.
2. Keep your friends close – a club is definitely a crowded place where everyone is just having fun dancing and bumping around each other. Yes, you can dance with a guy you find attractive but keep your friends close. Stay where your friends still see you. This is not being “kill joy” or something but this is for security if you do not really know the person that well.
3. Keep a pepper spray on your bag – this may sound very old school as if you’re hearing your dad’s sermon but bringing pepper spray in your bag is still useful nowadays. What if on your way home, some drunkard just block your way and try to hurt or take advantage of you? If you have pepper spray in your bag then you at least have a weapon for self-defense. It would be great if you know some basic taekwondo or karate moves that can knock the drunkard down but what if you don’t know anything, not even killing a cockroach? Well pepper spray is still your best option.
4. Do not drink too much – yes you want to have fun but it doesn’t mean you will drown yourself with booze. Remember, you are out and you can’t just sleep there if you feel like it – at the end of the night with all the flashing lights, blasting sounds and rounds of drinks, you have to go home. For you to be able to go home, you have to at least know what’s happening and who you are with. Do not just hitch to a stranger’s car.
“Girls’ night out” shall be a fun event so try to keep yourself far from trouble by getting your act together. Remember to have self-control and discipline and for sure you will have great time.
