At some point in our lives, we get to experience constipation. It has the power to affect moods, cause discomfort and interrupt important life matters.

Have regular physical exercises. This will help alleviate constipation. Regular exercises help bowel motility. Make sure to have a minimum of 20 minutes for daily exercises to make the digestive tract work. Even daily walking would be a great help.
Learn to answer the call of nature. If you have the urge to defecate, do so, without delay. This will prevent stool from hardening inside the colon. If the urge is frequently ignored, it can result in disabling self from feeling the urge when the bowel movement is necessary.
Check your medication intake. There are certain medications and supplements that could contribute to constipation. Calcium channel blockers and iron are examples of medications that could lead to constipation if no preventive measures are being taken.
Laxatives are a great relief. However, too much intake of it may further lead back to constipation. Laxatives can be very harsh to the system and some even lose their effectiveness if tolerance to these aids is developed.
Our intestines are known to be the organic “pipes”. It is just recommended to have it cleanse every now and then, to get rid and be free of all the stuffs that are backing up.
It is better to have it prevented than have constipation cured.
