We were sitting on our back patio the other night, I noticed a big flying ant on the back of the wicker couch we were sitting on. Strangely I had noticed one of these large flying ants down stairs in our storage room the day before. Something was going on here. I put two and two together and came up with termites. I called a New Jersey exterminator immediately and they are coming tomorrow so I will see what happens next.

I have started to notice ants downstairs and now that the weather is warm, spiders have infiltrating our home. I am glad we are having the pest control people out to see what they will do. I have heard of people with rat or bat problems. I am glad we only have spiders and termites.

Our homes are our castles, it is where we need to feel safe and secure and free from outside forces whether they be big or little. We didn’t know what do to with all of them, we were running out of cages to put them in, finally we let them go in a big field far away from any houses. I am hoping termite control isn’t as extensive as it was when I was a child, they used to come and tent the house and fumigate it. I haven’t seen a termite tent in years, I hope the process isn’t quite that invasive anymore. I guess we will find out tomorrow.
